A HUGE Thank You to:

Reading Emergency Unit

Allen Fire Dept.

Hillsdale Fire Dept.

Montgomery Fire Dept.

Air Care

Local Sheriff's Department

And all volunteers!

With out you, this wouldn't have been possible.

The kids started off the two-day camp learning about bike safety, car safety, gun safety, first aid, CPR, and more!

Crash-test dummies Vince and Larry taught the kids how to propery buckle themselves into a vehicle.

After Vince and Larry, they got to buckle themselves up.

Eddie the Eagle along with the Sheriffs, taught the kids about gun safety. "Stop! Don't Touch! Leave the area! Tell and adult!"

During bicycle safety, they put a jello brain in a helmet and dropped it from a ladder. That survived, but without the helmet, it busted.

Then the kids broke into teams and went to stations. One station was adult CPR.

Another station was infant CPR.

At splinting, the kids learned what to do when someone had a broken arm or leg.

At first aid, they learned what to do when someone was bleeding badly.

Inside the ambulance, the kids got to see what was inside and how it was used.

The fire departments came to teach the kids about fire safety.

They learned the stop, drop, and roll and how to drag someone from a fire.

In the Fire House, kids had to feel the door that had smoke coming from underneath it to be sure it was safe to enter.

Once out, they climbed down the ladder to safety.

Air Care showed up to let the kids see what the inside of their helicopter was like and tell them about their job.

Inside, they had all the equipment necessary to help save lives.

The kids found the helicopter amazing as it was landing and taking off.

Everyone and their family got the chance to look closely at the Air Care helicopter.

Then it was time for a group picture. Here are the kids, counselors, fire men, EMS, and Air Care crew just before Air Care took off.

The kids also got to see a fire truck close up and see how they work the hoses and everything else on the truck.

They also saw and ambulance and the equipment inside and were told how the equipment is used.

Then it was off to the races. First, they hopped to the car and properly buckled themselves in.

Then, they hopped over to a table where they dialed 911 and told them their emergency.

Then it was time for CPR. They had to give two breaths and thirty compressions.

Then it was first aid. They had to go the patient, put on their golves, and apply pressure with the gauze to stop the bleeding.

Then they finished it off with water safety. They had to secure their life vests and slide to the end.

At the end, they had a graduation complete with cake.

They were very busy and learned a lot in two days, but they still all had tons of fun!

Thanks again to the Reading Emergency Unit, Allen Fire Dept., Hillsdale Fire Dept., Montgomery Fire Dept., Air Care, the local sheriff's department, and all the volunteers!

Without all of you, none of this would have been possible!!

We hope to see all of you again next year!
